Dr Rakesh Bhula
Dr Rakesh Bhula was born and raised in New Zealand, where he completed his dental training at Otago University, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2002. After graduation he commenced work as a Maxillofacial and Dental House Surgeon for the Auckland District Health Board. Upon completing his tenure, Dr Rakesh Bhula entered private general dental practice in 2004. Rakesh moved to the Gold Coast in 2006 and has worked in the Tweed Heads, Banora Point and Tugun areas, before opening Griffith Street Family Dental.
Dr Rakesh Bhula practices all facets of dentistry from simple filling procedures, to more complex oral rehabilitation including root canal, crown and bridge, and implant work. Rakesh strives to provide a stress and worry free dental experience for every patient and is renowned to be patient, caring and gentle. Dr Rakesh Bhula strongly believes preventative dental treatment makes up a vitally important aspect of routine dental care.
Rakesh says “Routine dental check-up and cleans allow us to catch minor problems early. A small cavity is easily fixed with a small filling. Left unchecked, this could turn into a painful abscessed tooth requiring root canal work or even extraction.”
In his spare time Rakesh likes to play tennis and guitar. He is currently teaching himself how to play the harmonica.
